'Knock yourselves out' she said. 'As long as it's red'.
Yes, this is a 'quilt project' update. I started out innocently enough with thoughts of embroidery. Well I practised my stitching, and then got stuck on the hard bit - coming up with a design. And while I've been thinking I've been playing.
Now there's red everywhere. Red felt, red floss, red thread, red paint. And I'm no closer to deciding what I'm doing.
Relax. I've got a month.
More creative spaces here.
I love that birdcage stamp - is that fabric paint or ink? I just love red and cream together, anywhere anytime :) It all looks so beautiful already even if you haven't decided what to do with it , G. (That's a clue there..! see my post) :) KReplyDelete
Oh, you're only a zillion steps ahead of me (and what are you worried about - loving the stamp approach)...ReplyDelete
And how about you? Are you red with passion... or red with envy... or red with frustration... or just red with a glow of what's possible..??!!!ReplyDelete
I'm thrilled to have been taken at my word. Can't wait to see more.ReplyDelete
Eeek! I'm still trying to work out what on earth to do with mine.ReplyDelete
Looks beautiful G. I really can't wait to see what happens next.ReplyDelete
Unfortunately I was too late to sign up, because I think it's great what you all are doing. I can't wait to see the results.ReplyDelete
I am sure you'll figure out what you want to make eventually, and in time. Or else, you just keep playing a bit. Seems to me that that playing of yours results in some pretty great pieces!
Love the little stamp, I'm enjoying seeing all this red-quilt business around the traps.ReplyDelete
P.S. I'll write a little tutorial for sewing with that clear plastic stuff....I don't have a special foot (although no doubt such a thing exists). It's a good way to use up that plastic from quilt/blanket packaging.
Lots of red, looking good!ReplyDelete
That birdcage is gorgeous.ReplyDelete
Oh, you big tease, and here I was thinking I was seeing 'the' square... Sigh! I'm looking forward to it, hope it's red- y soon. (Oh wow that pun is bad!)ReplyDelete
Oooh, very cute bird cage Gina. At first I thought it was stitched. I close my eyes and I'm seeing a mostly blank square with a little, red stitched bird cage in one corner (well, to be honest, that's what I thought it was at first and I liked it. A LOT!) Thanks for your lovely comment on my blog today. Made me feel all warm and fuzzy. Quite seriously - it was very timely, made my day XXOOReplyDelete
Oh, I'm wishing I put my hand up to play now...ReplyDelete

Another wishing I had signed up quickly and not pondered 'but what would I make'!ReplyDelete
Looks like you are exploring all the possiblities - can't wait to see what you decide on.
Knowing you, you will come up with some awesome stuff in the process (as pictured!). All that red is meant to be great feng shui (sp?) too!ReplyDelete
The print is gorgeous and I love the colour red.ReplyDelete
That's a lot of red! I like the little print you've made... is it a stamp you've made?ReplyDelete
That looks fantastic. Can't wait to see more.ReplyDelete
The birdcage rocks!ReplyDelete
Nothing like a good play ... a few more of these will help solidify an idea.
