Dressing my kids up like freaks is AWESOME!!!!!

Karen from Urban Craft is one hip craftster. She likes to poke her tongue out at lots of things and make funny felty craft while she's at it. She's also totally on top of kiddy programming trends. And she's generous. She sent these shirts over for the boys.

What, you don't know who these creatures are? Muno and Brobee from Yo Gabba Gabba! It's retro, it's disco, it's education-via-beatboxing. Have you been hiding under a ROCK people?! Or just watching highbrow kiddy television like, um, err, that one with the books and real people in it?

Suffice to say that these t shirts have gone down an absolute treat. The 3-year-old, whose preference right now is for nudity at all times, demanded to wear his as soon as the parcel was opened, and has barely taken it off since. The 1-year-old said 'car', which in his special dialect denotes approval.

Karen, you're so hot right now in the clutterpunk household. You've almost made my children feel like normal toddlers, a feeling they are mostly robbed of whilst I parade them around the inner city in our Christiania bike. Thanks for bringing a sense of normalcy (even if it is flourescent, 70s, alien-creature normalcy) to my little brood.

  3. Adorable! We haven't started on Yo Gabba Gabba yet, I'm trying to keep Jack on nice quiet programs like Iggle Piggle and Thomas as long as possible.

  4. OOh cool t shirts. We love YGG around here espiecially the funny little songs. The boys look like they love the bike, besides the best thing about having kids is that you can torment them :)

I'm way behind on kiddie tv - I've never seen Yo Gabba Gabba.... Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is on high rotation with my nephews.

  8. Is it still on? I haven't seen it for such a long time but it is talked about a heap here as Addie has YGG clips that she thinks are rocking! The green one is her absolute fav, imagine is there were shirts to match.

As a note, dressing your kids as freaks is second only in awesomeness as them dressing themselves as freaks!

  12. hoo yeah they are cool - adult size please??
I wanted a box bike and was so close to convincing my partner and then we moved to the hills in Adelaide and ho hum no my thighs are not that expansive - never mind - perhaps I can borrow yours one day?

  13. My name is Joanne... and I like to DANCE!!

Did you see the one with Jack Black? It was truly awesome. I want his flying bike.

And I don't know about the freaks comment. Anna chooses to dress herself in eyebrow-raising combinations, until you mention that she chose it herself, and then the raised eyebrows turn into simpering "isn't she adorable" looks. It's a great tactic, and I am trying to figure out a way of cutseying up unironed clothes...
